Experience the extraordinary
Eagle Rock Estate

Eagle Rock Estate

An exclusive, private nature estate located where the lush bushveld scrub of the Lowveld and the rolling grasslands of the Highveld meet

The Estate is situated in an area of great natural beauty on the Olifants River north of Witbank/Emalahleni and Middelburg. It is only 160km from Sandton and 110km from Pretoria, making it an ideal retreat less than two hours away from the city. It covers an area of 1100 hectares along the Olifants River gorge, with over 10 km of river frontage.

Eagle Rock Estate is blessed with stunning scenery as well as an extraordinary diversity of animal, bird and plant life due to the variety of microclimates. There are no lion, rhino, buffalo, hippos or crocodiles on the Estate, allowing a safe environment for children and adults to experience nature first hand, on foot, by vehicle or on mountain bike. Leisure activities include game viewing, wonderful birding (a breeding pair of Verreaux’s Eagles are resident on the Estate), walking and hiking – and of course experiencing a diverse natural environment in all its glory.

This unique, ultra low-density Estate has only 14 one hectare stands on which homes can be built, with the remainder of the 1100 hectares consisting of a variety of unspoilt, pristine ecosystems. Being here is an invitation to become one with nature; the silence allows you to let go of the tensions and pressures of city life, either out in the bush or in the comfort of your own home. Members of Eagle Rock Estate have the privilege of being custodians of this very special environment.
